April 4th edition 47 Build

Here are pics of the progress we’ve made since I last put up some pics. We got the rear fender, license plate bracket, and chain guard mounted. Then stuck the rear wheel back on just for fun!

Just have the fender sitting in place with a single bolt at the bottom and 2 screws just started in the fender brace. Tried something different this year, doubled up on the thickness of the brace directly under the mounting screws then tapped the brace so you don’t need to fumble underneath the fender when screwing them home. Pretty slick I thought.

Spacers under the U clamps to the frame to move the fender back a little for more room and gets the fender a little closer to the tire.

We’ve got the chain guard mounted and also the pillion pad secured. Yeah, the primary is just mocked up, just had to get the bigger picture, ya know?

So, the next day, Sunday, we got the front end back together and mounted up. Had to add a couple of fork stops so that there’s no danger of the tanks or dash getting banged!

Forks assembled and back in place, and no paint chipped. Good day’s work in my book.
